Why don’t some people like to see their Pastor with nice, new, and expensive things?

Because we think pastors should be humble servants of the Lord, not flashy reflections of the streets. Call me crazy, but being a pastor is a calling and one should not get caught up in material wealth especially when in a position of leadership. You made a fair point, but have you thought about how it’d affect different people? I’m not saying you’re wrong, I just desire to indicate that there’s more than one side to this story.
